The ever-changing neighborhood of Ann Siang Hill welcomed its newest name yesterday, with the opening of Ann Siang House — the boutique hotel we gave you a sneak peek of back in January. Taking over the stylishly restored shophouse space formerly housing The Club Hotel, it offers 20 guest rooms for visitors seeking weekend staycations or even extended stays.
Decorated with minimal embellishments on the exterior, the building doesn’t exactly scream “hotel” to passers-by, which works well for travelers who prefer the “home away from home” vibes.
New features include additional common areas for you to unwind in, as well as room interiors designed with bespoke furniture and quirky art pieces. Opt for the more spacious suites, and you’ll get to enjoy fully-equipped kitchenettes and private balconies with views of the surroundings.
Besides the hotel’s central location, it’s also a neighbor to hip restaurants and bars in the area like Oxwell & Co, Lolla, Nutmeg & Clove, and Luke’s Oyster Bar & Chop House.
But if you’re up for a night in, the basement of Ann Siang House hosts the new Blue Label Pizza & Wine restaurant/bar, and the ground floor space will be home to a series of pop-ups over the next few months, starting with Italian eatery Perbacco in March.
Ann Siang House is at 28 Ann Siang Rd, 6202-9377. Opening rates start at S$250/night.
