Loads happening at Marina Bay Sands this year, thanks to restaurant and nightlife company Tao Group. They’re the ones behind Lavo Singapore, which opened in January 2018, and they’ve got plenty more entertainment and lifestyle concepts coming to our shores in a couple months.

You’ve probably already heard about Marquee, the much-talked-about nightclub that’s set to feature an actual Ferris wheel on its indoor premises. Yes, it’s fully-operational, and you’ll probably have bragging rights if you’re one of the first few to hop on. Also in the 2,300 sqm space (looks like it’ll take the title of the largest club in Singapore) is a three-story slide, for more carnival-meets-club vibes.

Slated for an April 12 opening with hotshot international DJs and a red carpet rolled out for VIPs, the brand’s debut here marks its first venture into Asia, after launching in cities like New York, Las Vegas, and Sydney. Apparently, DJs like Armin van Buuren, Alesso, Dash Berlin, and Travis Scott — most of which we’ve already seen perform multiple times here — are among the names who’ve played at Marquee locations.

Following that glitzy introduction, May brings with it Avenue, a cocktail lounge that’s hailed as a swanky spot in the style of a speakeasy. In case drinks aren’t enough of a draw for you, the place will also feature a mini bowling alley and, er, arcade games like vintage pinball machines. Also look forward to parties here with DJs spinning the beats of hip hop and rock ‘n’ roll.

Finally, later this year, new concept Koma will open. Not much else has been said about it, apart from the fact that it’s a Japanese eatery and sushi bar, so sashimi enthusiasts can watch this space for updates.
