Nightclub Bang Bang ditches cover charges and revamps itself with neon-hued decor

After building a reputation as (supposedly) one of the best nightclubs to party at during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend — with the likes of Gordon Ramsay, LMFAO, and Will.I.Am having graced its dance floors — Bang Bang has decided to take the “new year, new me” sentiments for real by going for a whole new look.

Come Jan 12, the space at Pan Pacific Hotel will unveil its revamped aesthetics in a grand laser show that fits in with its new, neon-heavy decor.

Adding to the electric extravagance are Bang Bang’s mirrored ceilings, a raised stage, and upgraded interactive tables, as well as new lighting systems that should bring some fresh dazzle to the pulsating luminosity on the dance floor.

Perhaps the biggest and most surprising change is that Bang Bang will no longer charge entry fees, despite the club’s overwhelming popularity (or so the press release claims). They’ll also introduce the concept of shared VIP tables, where separate groups of clubbers are invited to merge and enjoy VIP table service as part of a combined group.

It’s all part of the movement by SJS Group — the restaurant and nightlife development company behind Bang Bang — to bring “ageless, unpretentious fun and new dimensions” to Singapore’s nightlife.

But whatever. We couldn’t care less about the reasons behind the club axing its cover charge — we’re never one to turn down a free party.

“2018 will see an elevated Bang Bang experience and although we are more popular than ever, we believe that our guests should not have to pay a fee to simply enter,” enthused SJS Group co-founders Josh and Sarissa Schwartz. “We are proud to be the first nightclub in Singapore to eliminate entry charge.”

The big launch party kicks off with DJ Re:Flex this Friday from 10pm onwards — table reservations and more information available on the Bang Bang website.
