Singapore’s Civic District has undergone a bit of a rejuvenation lately, thanks to the recently revamped Funan mall and the newly refurnished Grand Park City Hall, which welcomed back guests late last year.
The 343-key hotel’s late-2018 relaunch saw the introduction of room categories like Deluxe, Premier, Family Suites, and Crystal Club; and now, it’s revealing a couple more lavish suite options with Crystal Club privileges (think complimentary breakfasts, nibbles, and cocktails).
Set in a conservation shop house turned contemporary in its architectural style, the tech savvy, five-star hotel offers an app that allows you to register before arrival, complete a self check-in, and get mobile key access to your room and control of the electronics inside.
If you want more than a basic room, the Garden Junior Suite has a lounge space and working desk for business travelers, as well as an alfresco verandah for those who prefer to have breakfast outdoors or dinner under the night sky.
Alternatively, the Oasis Junior Suite could make for a romantic vacay, with its mini garden area and private jacuzzi that leads out to the pool and gym. In the spacious bathroom, there’s a built-in steam bath and rain shower, too.
But for those who have the means to splurge, the Park Suite and Coleman Suite are penthouse luxuries that overlook the Marina Bay waterfront and city skyline respectively.
They’ll set you back almost one grand for each night you snuggle on the sheets, but you’ll be living it up in the colonial-themed bedroom, living room, and outdoor garden with a private jacuzzi. The suites’ features also include mood lighting options, a rain shower and bathtub, steam bath, and complimentary mini bar.
The hotel is also home to European restaurant Tablescape, and it provides complimentary shuttle bus services to nearby landmarks and tourist attractions, as well as access to the pool and 24-hour fitness center.
