Hey, all you night owls out there. Here’s a new addition to Singapore’s after-dark scene — another 24-hour spa (to rival g.spa). At the brand new, 26,000 sq ft multi-concept space Orient Palace, you’ll find an elegant Cantonese restaurant alongside a wellness facility called Spa Nes. The idea is for visitors to eat, play, relax, and be entertained without having to leave the building.

Besides the 200-seater main dining area, the restaurant also features five VIP rooms, each kitted out with a karaoke system for you to sing your heart out while nibbling on intricate-sounding Canto dim sum offerings like chilled mango duckling pudding, 22K gold galaxy snow skin dumpling with blueberry purée, and swan dumpling with roast chicken meat.

Other Nanyang-style and Cantonese dishes on the menu include charcoal roasted suckling pig as well as black and white pepper crab.

In an effort to make itself stand out from the multitude of Chinese eateries out there, Orient Palace also showcases a stage where live bands entertain the crowd with their evening performances.

But if you’re more of a lay back and unwind person, head upstairs to the sanctuary that is Spa Nes for spa facials, body massages, and even Southeast Asian healing therapies. It also claims to be one of the first spas here to provide Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations by certified practitioners.

With more than 10 private and VIP rooms, the sanctuary offers facilities like free Wi-Fi, a thermal pool, a steam room, a sauna, a lounge, and a dining area that you can make use of with a Spa Pass (S$38/one hour, S$68/three hours). And from Mar. 1 onwards, the spa will be open 24 hours instead of just till 3am daily.

Anyone looking for an hour or so of relaxation can try the Spa Nes Signature Massage, where Swedish, Thai, and Chinese acupressure massage styles are used in combination with a blend of orchid essential oils.

Orient Palace is at L2 & L2 Annex @ Furama Riverfront, 407 Havelock Rd. Orient Palace: 11:30am-3pm, 5:30pm-3am; Spa Nes: 11am-3am until Feb. 28, 24-hours from Mar. 1 onwards.
