Making handkerchiefs cool again is a new local label that wants to minimize tissue (and plastic) waste with its funky fresh designs: Hanky Buddies, an online store set up by a trio of “tree-hugging buddies”.

Debuting with three collections featuring monochrome motifs, multi-colored pop art, and adorable illustrations for little ones, the brand offers its cotton, machine washable goods at $9.95 for its “junior buddies” line and $12.95 for the regular range.

If you’re into vibrant, psychedelic patterns, then the brand’s Candyland, Flash, or Bananas prints in its Pop collection will likely appeal to you most. Otherwise, make a classy statement with black-and-white stars, geometric lines, or polka dots, and get your kids in on it with robots, animals, and sweet treats splashed across mini handkerchiefs.
