Netflix pinpoints the episodes that get viewers in Singapore hooked onto a series

There’s a certain magic moment in our couch-tuning times when Netflix and Chill turns into Netflix and No Chill as we become so hooked on a series that we just fall into the abyss of bingeing on episodes until our eyes turn red.

Regarding our bingeing tendencies, the streaming giants have seemed to boiled it down to a science. No really, they even got Bill Nye the Science Guy to explain how we get hooked to new shows.

They’ve pinpointed the episodes where casual viewers in Singapore turn into rabid fanboys and fangirls for shows like House of Cards and Daredevil. As we’ve experienced it for ourselves, love-letter-to-’80s-sci-fi Stranger Things and super-addictive Narcos are some of the easier shows to get hooked onto.

Unsurprisingly, House of Cards (with political intrigue more familiar to US viewers) and Gotham (A Batman show WITHOUT Batman? Pfft) are some of the harder series to get into. Too bad they didn’t show the stats for Aziz Ansari’s Master of None though — we fell in love with that one from the start.
