After a prolonged period of keeping on the down low, concert organisers The Gathering are back at the forefront again — and it’s a huge one. The first show under their banner features none other than highly-acclaimed electronic music maestro Flying Lotus, live at Suntec this May.
Fresh from getting nominated in the 2016 Grammy Awards — for his excellent collaborations with Kendrick Lamar — Steven Ellison has been a revered icon in his Los Angeles hometown. The esteemed producer is known for his avant-garde electronic beats painted together with jazz-infused hip hop — and his touches have been seen in many other acclaimed releases.
Aside from multiple acclaimed albums of his own, he has been a creative collaborator with other artists, including Lamar, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Laneway Festival Singapore 2016 artist Thundercat and a lot more. FlyLo has also been a creative force with many other audio-visual projects, and his live shows are total spectacles in itself.
