Always wanted to meet a mermaid in real life? Or perhaps The Little Mermaid was your favourite childhood movie and you spent days fantasising about splashing your fins in the ocean, humming the tune of ‘Under the Sea’? Well, this year’s Asia Dive Expo is about to make all your dreams come true, as five mermaids from around the region will make an appearance at the weekend event.
On the line-up is, of course, Syrena, our very own first-ever mermaid and the founder of Singapore Mermaid School. Others include Dada Li from China, Odessa Bugarin from the Philippines, and Hidy Yu and Joyce Ng from Hong Kong. You can take pics with the mermaids, watch them perform in the dive tank, get your hands on mermaid merch, and even swim around with water nymphs in the pool.
