Heads up, Disney geeks. If you missed out when the musical version of Disney’s 1994 animated flick The Lion King made its Southeast Asian debut on our shores six years ago, here’s your second chance to catch it. (And seriously, you won’t want to miss out on the majestic and magnificent theatrical production.)
The Lion King and all its Hakuna matata adventures is returning to Singapore for its 20th anniversary on stage, on an international tour that brings it around the region to pitstops in Manila, Korea and Taiwan. Produced by the Michael Cassel Group with Disney Theatrical Productions, this rendition of the spectacular musical is set to kick off its first round of auditions in South Africa this month.
No specific deets on exact dates and venue have been released yet, but mark your calendars for June 2018, ’cause that’s when Simba and gang will be prowling into town. Get your updates here.
