KFC Singapore’s Chizza gets roasted on Late Night with Seth Meyers

If, like us, you’ve already been heartbroken by the heart-shaped (barely) fried chicken-ized pizza that is the KFC Chizza, you’ll already know how low it ranks on the spectrum of fast food fusions.

And what a fusion it is. Appetites were aroused when KFC Singapore announced that it was finally available here after variations of Chizza appeared in other parts of Asia. Promising all chicken, no crust, it was initially believed to be a proper pizza-sized monstrosity — but alas, it turned out to be no bigger than your palm. Taste-wise, it was meh at best. Visually, it was puke in a box.

The very existence of the Chizza however didn’t escape the attention of Americans, who, oddly enough, won’t be able to enjoy it in their own KFC joints. Mind you, we’re talking about the land that kicked off the trend of fast food monstrosities with the Double Down, Bringer of Coronary Thrombosis, Destroyer of Arteries.

As you can imagine, former SNL ‘Weekend Update’ host and current late night talk show giant Seth Meyers wasn’t too impressed by the Chizza. Admittedly not his best monologue (pretty weak jokes in this one, tbh), Meyers deep-fries roasts the Chizza alongside the many other controversies in the era of President Trump.

“KFC Singapore is selling a fried chicken-crusted pizza which is made with an all chicken crust, pineapple, ham and and additional chicken on top. It’s just their way of saying ‘stop coming here’.”
