Taiwanese Mandopop star Jay Chou has added Singapore to the list of stops on his world tour this year.
Chou, 43, will be bringing his Carnival World Tour to Singapore National Stadium on Dec. 17 and 18, as announced by Singapore-based entertainment company G.H.Y Culture & Media today.
The tour, which began in 2019, was meant to celebrate Chou’s 20th year in the entertainment industry but was interrupted by mass protests in Hong Kong, which forced him to cancel his concerts there, as well as the pandemic that began soon after.
The last time Chou performed in Singapore was in January of 2020 as part of the same tour. Fans can expect to hear many of the Mandopop star’s biggest hits. Chou has released a few singles since his last critically acclaimed album Jay Chou’s Bedtime Stories came out in 2016.
More details on how to snag tickets will be available soon, according to the entertainment company.
Earlier this month, Singapore relaxed its COVID-19 restrictions and allowed event performances and nightlife activities such as clubbing and busking to resume, in addition to making outdoor masking optional and lifting the 10:30pm alcohol ban.
