Infectious electronic duo Tennyson to make Singapore debut in the return of Syndicate Subsessions

It’s been way too long since local audio-visual collective Syndicate held their beloved Syndicate Subsessions gigs, but come March 15, it returns with a proper bang.

Canadian electronica music brother-sister duo Tennyson — consisting of Luke and Tess Pretty — are set to make their Singapore debut at the Montreux Jazz Cafe (ooo, classy) next month. It really is hard to believe that they’re both so damn young — their age defies Tennyson’s trademark complex rhythms and lush electronic textures.

On the live stage, the prodigious duo are as mesmerising as they are in studio, with the younger Tess being on point with jazz-fuelled drumming while her older brother paints a vibrant soundscape with triggered samples, effects and chords. No really, their melodies are infectious; just check out footage from their set:

The chill vibes kick off at 8pm on March 15, with DJ Kiat on decks to support the show. Tickets on sale right now via Peatix (Early bird ones are sold out already, soz) at $25, while its $35 at the door. Stay updated on the Facebook event page.
