A Singapore-based party crew is bringing back the cool parties at one of the city-state’s historical parks.
Ice Cream Sundays and Singapore-based record label Darker Than Wax will be spinning tunes and heads at their third installment of Haw Par Thrilla at the historic cultural theme park Haw Par Villa on Nov. 5 after two long years.
Why Haw Par Villa of all? Because its aesthetics fits.
“A hellish 1930’s wonderland dotted with colorful depictions of Chinese mythology and folklore, it’s one of Singapore’s most intriguing spaces and the perfect backdrop for an ICS/DTW reunion,” the party collective said in a news release.
The all-day event will feature a whole range of tunes from nine DJs – A’alely, Daryl Knows, Dean Chew, Dexter Colt, ERI, Kaye from Darker Than Wax; and Bongomann, Muto and Toppings from Ice Cream Sundays.
The folks at music bar Offtrack, the brainchild of the organizers’ founders, will be feeding and rehydrating people onsite throughout the day. Expect premium spirits like Aperol, Botanist Gin, Remy Cointreau, Joe’s Singapore Seltzer, craft beers from Lion Brewery Co and cocktails.
For pick-me-ups, Maxi Coffee Bar will be brewing up cold brews and espresso martinis.
The party will also feature lighting and projections by Clare Chong and Aaron Ang of Dvrk By Hei, and installations by Pier Alessio Rizzardi of TCA Think Tank.
Tickets are running out fast, they are now going for S$36.75.
