There’s a new events ‘hotel’ in town, and it goes by the name of Huone Singapore. An award-winning creative concept space hailing from Finland, it appeals to companies and event organisers who want to break out of the bland and boring box (the one with whitewashed walls and sad desks).
Featuring 11 themed meeting rooms — inspired by historic Clarke Quay and facets of Finland — Huone Singapore sits just above Hai Di Lao by the waterfront (which means you get to clink glasses over post-work happy hour drinks).
As you explore the 20,000 sq ft space — which also features a Peranakan-inspired dining and bar area — you’ll find yourself in completely different surroundings from the moment you step into each room.
Varying in capacity, from a cosy cottage that holds about 25 people to a forested area that seats 150, the rooms can be used for just about any event — that includes team-building sessions, craft workshops, company conferences, product launches and even wedding solemnisation ceremonies. Each one comes with event coordinator services, Wi-Fi, AV equipment, writing materials and dining options.
