If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’d no doubt have been waiting anxiously for December 15, when Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in cinemas here. But if you haven’t gotten your tickets — or if you’d like to be one of the first in the country to watch the film (for free) — brush up on those ‘fastest fingers first’ moves, ’cause you’ll be needing them.
Come December 14, between 5pm to 9pm, open your Uber app and tap the On-Demand pop-up at the bottom to make your movie request. You can do it from anywhere in Singapore, and if you’re one of the lucky chosen ones, an UberExec car will pick you and your plus one up and take you to The Cathay Cineplex.
Once there, you’ll catch a screening of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at The Cathay Platinum Suites — that means you’ll get the leather recliner treatment, complete with food, popcorn and drinks. All on Uber, of course.
As a plus, you’ll also receive a gift bag filled with movie merch and a promo code to cover your ride home. And yes, since you get to watch the film a day before its release date, you can threaten your favourite office frenemy with spoilers the next day.
