The Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to the Esplanade Theatre with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth novel and film in the series, on Feb. 17 and 18.

Audiences will experience a magical evening with Singapore’s Metropolitan Festival Orchestra performing film scores live from the series’ composer Nicholas Hooper, all while the film is screened on a 12-meter screen.

Hooper, who was nominated for a World Soundtrack Discovery Award, is known for using unique instruments like Japanese Taiko drums to bring out eerie but enchanting aspects of the story.

In the fifth installment, expect scores accompanying the return of the evil Lord Voldemort, the introduction of Hogwart’s new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Dolores Umbridge and wizarding wars with main leads Ron, Hermione and Harry.

Tickets start from S$79.
