If October 31 is one of your favorite dates of the year, then you’re likely gonna want to suss out the full agenda of Halloween-themed events and parties planned for this year. You can’t let your carefully planned costume go to waste, after all. That’d be a shame.
And so, as we draw closer to All Hallows’ Eve, and as creatures that crawl and things that go bump in the night begin to emerge from their dark corners, leaving waves of fright and terror in their wake — ah, you get the gist. We’ve set the scene enough.

A Halloween Treat
Go trick-or-treating, decorate pumpkins, and come face to face with Dracula (for a photo-op) at Quayside Isle, where they’ll be freaky foods by the likes of Greenwood Fish Market and Sabio by the Sea.

A Legendary Hallowine
Chilean winemaker Casillero del Diablo is throwing a Halloween party at The Westin — the brand’s wines will go for $14 per glass (and $64 for a bottle) throughout the night, and they’re also rolling out a special edition Cabernet Sauvignon whose bottle design is inspired by the calavera (those elaborately decorative skulls you see during Mexico’s Day of the Dead celebrations). Beyond the wine, the 18-and-above event will get guests into character with a makeup booth, so you can prowl the streets at night after you’ve downed a couple glasses.

ACM After Dark

This annual family-friendly Halloween shindig sees the Asian Civilisations Museum get an entire holiday-themed makeover — this year, they’re going with a jungle motif, complete with creatures like the Baek and the Yuki-Onna. There will also be “a passage of hot coals, a human barbecue pit, a water vortex, and a creepy well, a la Japanese horror film The Ring.” Activities such as paranormal-themed talks (including Grand Master Chew and Master Calvin, “renowned ghostbusters in Singapore”); a Fortune-Telling Kampong Booth; and an outdoor film screening featuring Asian horror films.

All Things Strange

The sky lounge gets into the Stranger Things spirit with themed tipples and nibbles, so come dressed in Upside Down style. Ghostbuster uniforms and ‘80s high school threads are welcome, too.

Boo-zy Halloween

Here’s a bar crawl we can get behind. Thank the Halloween spirits, because all you have to do to get free drinks is go shopping for garlic. Yep, one garlic will get you a complimentary cocktail each at Aura Sky Lounge, Art, Amo, Braci Rooftop Bar, Southbridge, and Sons, so by the end of the night you’ll be nicely buzzed by a variety of blends that’ve been created in collaboration with Botanist Gin, Cointreau, and Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie.

Carnival of the Absurd

The weird and wacky carnival returns with another tribute to the Coney Island freak show, bringing mesmerizing magicians and creepy clown dolls to the stage alongside drag queens and burlesque dancers.

Cirque Le Soir
Cirque Le Soir comes to town once again at rooftop lounge CE LA VI, with terrifying theatrics by fire breathers, exotic dancers, and crazy contortionists. The dress code this time is “Latex Halloween”, for guests to fit right in to fantasy world of S&M dungeon.

Dead on Neon
This edition of ladies’ night Diamond Life gets a neon transformation with glowing headbands, bright paints, and energetic beats by DJ Julian.

Diwal’oween Party

Fright Night

If you can’t rest in peace till you get a proper scare this Halloween, USS is your best best. Its annual event features five haunted houses, three killer live shows, and two scare zones, with 2018 highlights such as a Stranger Things room, the return of zombie laser tag, and nightmarish Asian spooks like the Pontianak.

Halloween Town: Yokai Festival
Head to the East for a tame Halloween, with an “Underworld Market” (read: flea market) for bargain hunters, an outdoor movie screening of Japanese anime My Neighbor Totoro, a Jewel of the Town race with missions that teams have to complete, and a Yokai vs. Humans event with dart-shooting at the monsters in Wild Wild Wet.

In the Woods
This Bar Rouge x Belvedere collab leads you into the woods, where sweet fairy tales take a wicked turn. Sip on a Halloween cocktail called The Campers Bonfire, a mix of Belvedere vodka and Bailey’s, topped with toasted marshmallows, raspberry, and biscuit crumble, as you bask in theatrical performances and acrobats in the air.

Plus, you can win old school goodies like Tamagotchis if you’re best dressed.

Sub City All Styles Edition: Halloween Costume Party

Tales of the River

Clarke Quay turns into a watery underworld for the night, featuring a Loch Ness Lake, a Mermaids’ Den, and an Undead Boatmen Cavern. The Halloween event will also debut a virtual reality Zombie Mania Shoot-out Challenge, where you get to take aim at monsters and goblins. Shenanigans at the Fountain Square include music performances, stage games, and daytime workshops as well.

The Curse of Amityville
There’s a tale of the Amityville House in Long Island, New York, where a family moved into in 1975, not knowing it was the site of six brutal murders. If you’d like to experience the eerie sightings for yourself – think Annabelle, Chucky, and Jigsaw – head to The Cathay to try your luck at surviving the maze.

Walaoween Street Party
Swing by the streets of Circular Road to get spooked by spine-chilling creatures and dance off your adrenaline jolt to the tune of performances by local acts like Shiok Horror, Lincoln Lim, and Jack and Rai. Part of this year’s Singapore River Festival.

Zombie Attack
Ever since a secret experiment led to a virus outbreak, lab workers have been infected and turned into zombies. Naturally, you’re the only one who can get the anti-toxin and save the world Orchard Road, so do your best to slay the undead at challenges like laser tag.

Zouk Halloween 2018: Boogie Wonderland

Another year, another epic Zouk bash. This time, it’s murder on the dance floor – literally. They say a “socially awkward, dance-obsessed” man nicknamed Discopath dismembered a bunch of merry-makers in the ‘70s, but every year on the day of his death, people continue to vanish. If you’re intrigued, shimmy into your costume (the first 100 get free entry) and make your way to the club to solve the mystery.

An Evening Aboard The Sinking Ship

Ice cream cookies at Creamery

Creamery gets into the Halloween spirit with its Sesame Witch lava cookie (black sesame and vanilla) and Baby Frankenstein lava cookie (uji matcha with milk lava) topped with ice cream that’s made of pumpkin and orange juice. Top it all off with pumpkin sauce and popping candies.

Only Have Eyes for Boo at Tiong Bahru Bakery

An ordinary chocolate muffin gets the scary treatment with an eyeball that’s filled with coconut purée, so the dessert can stare right back at you as you bite into it.

This freaky feast features everything from “bat wings” (braised Guinness Stout chicken wings) to “Einstein’s brains” (foie gras with raspberry sauce) to “Devil’s tongue” (sze chuan duck tongue), alongside a dessert spread of “blood splatter” (cherry) cheesecake and a strawberry flavored chocolate fondue fountain that acts as a “bloody” waterfall.

The burger joint’s first limited edition special is The Halloween Shake: a black, white, and orange monster creation featuring chocolate ice cream, vanilla frosted rim, candy corn, orange rock candy, a “spider web” chocolate cupcake, whipped cream, and orange sprinklers.

Zombie Frappuccino at Starbucks
The coffee chain’s new Halloween drink ($7.90) is a mix of sesame and red bean, for that midnight black complemented by swirls of red. Also available are baked goods like the Bat-ter Almond Chocolate Cake, Peek-a-Boo Lemon Drizzle Cake, and Spooktacular Raspberry Drizzle Red Velvet Cake.
