Ever since its humble launch back in March, the Great Singapore Garage Sale has been moving onward and upward. Now going in its fourth edition, the community event is assembling preloved goods and putting them up for bargain prices once again this Nov 21.
This time however, the whole gala is moving to the east — the parking space of Tampines Industrial Crescent to be exact (courtesy of property group LHN Limited), a simple five-minute walk from IKEA Tampines. With the new venue comes the capacity for an even bigger garage sale with the space to accommodate 100 stall holders, even those who’d like to sell straight from their car boots.
“With environmental concerns at the centre of modern life, the Great Singapore Garage Sale offers an opportunity to reduce your carbon footprint and waste,” writes Chloe Sasson, chief organiser of the event. Second-hand clothes, toys, furniture, electronic goods and other knick knacks will be up for sale as usual, while other activities for kids and charity will also be taking place.

Update: Initially supposed to take place this month, the event has been postponed to Nov 21 due to the haze. Bummer! Hopefully it’ll be haze-free by then.
