Emulate your favourite Korean celeb’s hairstyle at new Korean salon Bella K-Beauty House. Housed in a stylish, modern space along Nassim Road, the beauty parlour operates under the expertise of celeb hairstylist Gunhee, who’s been in the showbiz industry for years, working with names like Super Junior, 4Minute, JYJ and more. So if you wanna feel like a K-pop star for a day, book the by-appointment-only session with Gunhee. He’ll also be mentoring the four other hairdressers from Korea, offering popular styles like the Korean Digital Perm and Korean Magic (a type of natural rebonding with a curled finish).
If you’re the type who likes to chat up a storm with your hairstylist, you might be a little disappointed here, unless you’re fluent in Korean. Most of the employees speak a smattering of English, but fret not, the receptionist doubles up as a translator for English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Despite the slight language barrier, the staff are warm and friendly, making it easy to feel right at home.
In the luxe space, eight leather chairs imported from Korea line up in front of floor-to-ceiling mirrors and TV monitors that replay videos of Gunhee’s past work. There’s also an exclusive VIP room (for celebs and famous personalities), which comes with its own entrance to offer a higher level of privacy. Sitting opposite the hair wash area is a bar stocked with drinks for customers, and a manicure and pedicure area to complete your pampering experience.
