If ever you tire of exploring Singapore on foot, or you wonder what else there is to see what you haven’t already, jump on board a tour with Sideways for a different perspective of the Little Red Dot. Hailed as the world’s first vintage sidecar tour service, the platform by a British-born entrepreneur is dedicated to unveiling the sights and sounds of the country for tourists (and perhaps locals who just wanna ride in a Vespa).
With support from the Singapore Tourism Board and vintage Vespa retailer Triquetra Sidecar Experiences, the service seats you in a compact Vespa and brings you on a ride to check out tourist attractions and local landmarks, with guides leading you through 30-minute, one-hour and half-day tours.
Neighborhoods on the list include Chinatown, Joo Chiat, Katong, Kampong Glam, and the Civic District — but besides heritage, art, and architecture tours, you can also go for bespoke options to see Singapore through a local photographer’s lens or hop on a food and drinks trail.
