Look out for loads of new stuff blooming at Gardens by the Bay over the next month, with its annual Mid-Autumn festivities, a new floral display in the Flower Dome, and a new orchid display in the Cloud Forest.

For regular visitors to the Flower Dome, the next time you step into the air-conditioned space, you’ll find yourself surrounded by bright shades of orange, red, gold and green, as the Autumn Harvest display takes over. Think farm plots overflowing with produce and pretty blooms, fruit- and vegetable-shaped lanterns, as well as a mini pumpkin exhibit with over 10 varieties devoted to Halloween. Even Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage makes an appearance among the pumpkin trees.

As for the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, this year’s events include cultural performances, lantern riddles, an arts and crafts area, and a food street at the Supertree Grove. When the sun sets, stick by the grove to watch a special edition of nightly light and sound show Garden Rhapsody, featuring moon-themed tunes like Fly Me to the Moon and the Chinese classic, The Moon Represents My Heart.

To catch a glimpse of the gleaming lanterns, stroll across the outdoor gardens, where you’ll see a fishing village illuminated with 70 carp lanterns, a paddy field lit up by 4,000 glowing rice stalks, 250 waterlily lanterns floating on the lake, and over 100 dragonfly lanterns scattered across the Supertrees and the Dragonfly Bridge.
