Five years since Foo Fighters left fans here (ever)longing to watch Dave Grohl and Co. in concert, the band made good on their promise to return to our shores — they’re playing at the National Stadium come Aug 26.

Arguably one of the greatest rock bands in the world, fans were understandably dismayed when frontman (and straight up awesome dude) Dave Grohl was left with no choice but to cancel the band’s long-awaited appearance in 2012, when he was strongly advised by doctors to “take it easy on his voice”. Now that they’re confirmed to bring the stadium roof down this year, it’ll officially be 21 long years since the Foos last played here, when they rocked the WTC Harbour Pavilion (now known as HarbourFront Centre).

Concert promoters Unusual Entertainment have announced the ticket prices, which range from $128 to $238 with both seated and standing sections. Sports Hub will kick off tickets sales on May 23 at 10am, but from what the Coldplay and Ed Sheeran sagas have taught us all, they’ll quickly sell out and reappear on Viagogo at super-inflated prices. So go do what you have to do and queue up at ticket booths way before the crack of dawn.
