Dive headfirst into the awesomeness that is the local music scene, with three entire weekends of wicked tunes from homegrown outfits. Think veterans and up-and-coming acts on the line-up, including names like A Vacant Affair, Pleasantry, Wormrot, Boxchild, Faux Pas, Cashew Chemists, I Am David Sparkle and a whole lot more.

2016 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix
The race returns for another year of buzzing action, with off-track acts such as Kylie Minogue, Queen + Adam Lambert, Imagine Dragons, Bastille and Halsey.

Hit up Artichoke for a night of ‘bro-friendly cooking’, with shared plates like wagyu satay bao, Korean pulled pork, fish and balls, grilled lamb ribs buah keluak and the like.

Anyone up for an evening of dinner theatre? This five-course meal is a collaboration between mod-Sin cafe CreatureS and avant garde artist Kate March — and after the clock strikes 12, DJ Erok and KRÍA will turn the place into party central.

Mid-Autumn @ Gardens by the Bay
Feast your eyes on a bright and colourful display of handcrafted lantern displays at the gardens, then munch your way through the food street and try your hand at craft activities. Also don’t forget to pop by Ron Arad’s 720º, a stunning outdoor interactive video installation that’s part of the Singapore International Festival of Arts (until Sept 17).

If you simply can’t get enough of partying, CÉ LA VI has got you covered with everything from sunset sessions and sky high brunches to afternoon BBQs and DJs on decks every night.

Stay away from the F1 crowds and keep up with the race at the newly-opened VLV Club Singapore, where there’ll be live screenings of track-side happenings, after-parties, and a medley of modern Chinese dishes at the restaurant.

Sunshine Nation Block Party Vol 10
The Grand Prix edition of this street party features Julien Brochard, Brendon P and Zig Zach bringing the beats of house.

An indie ceramics fair organised by crafts store Supermama, the event features various exhibitions at Supermama’s flagship store in Beach Road and the brand’s gallery shop at Gillman Barracks. There will also be a design mart (Sept 23-24) where you can check out crafts by makers and designers.

Shimmy into your most glamorous threads for a night filled with fashion shows, a Magnum ice cream bar, and over 20 performances by dancers, singers and DJs.

Sunday, Sept 18
Brought to you by the Geylang Adventures people, this massive communal cooking session pairs you up with three migrant workers who live at the Admiralty dormitory. No kitchen skills are required — just turn up, make friends, share cultures and make dishes like dumplings, samosas and nakshi puli. When everyone’s done cooking, you get to mingle around and sample what the other teams have whipped up, as well as participate in games and other activities.

Popular burger pop-up Rosita’s Deluxe turns up the heat at Park Bench Deli for its fourth installment. The menu includes single and double patty burgs with toppings like chilli con carne, as well as chilli fries.
