Have a very cerebral start to your Chinese New Year with SA (仨) as they hold their own showcase in The Pursuit at the Esplanade Recital Studio this March.
Quickly rising in prominence among lovers of experimental music since their formation in 2010, the instrumental trio have intrigued folks of all ages and cultures, utilising their individual professional training in traditional Chinese instruments and integrating them into a modern sonic aesthetic, complete with live looping and effects pedals.
The evening of March 6 at the Recital Studio promises to be a raucously dark experience as SA takes the audience through new original compositions, accompanied by visual art with collaborators Ila and Wu Jun Han. Tickets available at Sistic at $25; more details on the Esplanade website.
