Pop legend Sir Elton John is retiring for good, but not before a massive world tour that’ll, fortunately, include a stop in Singapore for the Asian leg of his final trip.

The only catch? You’ll have to wait more than a year to catch him on the “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Global Tour”. The British icon’s only reaching our shores from November 2019 onwards, although that’s still sooner than South American countries, where fans will only see him play in 2020.

So far, the final tour has confirmed stops in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, and Singapore, with “additional markets to follow.” Though concert dates are a long way off, you’ll have to book tickets a year earlier — sales kick off this November. With Elton’s last ever tour promising to take fans through a “musical and highly visual journey” across his 50-year career, you can definitely expect ticket prices to hit the high hundreds. The good news is, you’ve got till November to save up.

“I plan to bring the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades to my final tour,” Elton promises.

“After the tour finishes, I’m very much looking forward to closing off that chapter of my life by saying farewell to life on the road,” he says, adding that he’ll be dedicating more time to raising his children.

A dazzling send-off for an inimitable icon indeed. Details on the concert venue and ticket-booking platforms to follow later this year.
