Alright you cool cats, we’re just a few days away before the second instalment of our bloc party and — surprise, surprise — have even more updates about what’s going down at Rally In The Alley Part Deux.
We’ll be kicking off the bloc party with an ode to writers-who-double-as-disc-jockeys (we are an editorial site after all) with the return of dastardly duo Ilyas Sholihyn and Daniel Peters AKA MADLADS. Both journalists have been lighting up the local digital media space — Ilyas Sholihyn with Coconuts Singapore; Daniel Peters with Bandwagon Asia — but this Saturday the only fire they’re starting is the one on the dance floor, with a curated mix of indie, electronica and other chill tunes.
We also have an actual headliner, and it’s none other than Singapore’s own veteran mixmaster Keith Colaco, AKA DJ KFC. As the music director at The Lo & Behold Group (the fine folks behind Loof, Tanjong Beach Club, The White Rabbit, etc), as well as having shared the stage with big names such as Nina Kraviz, Maya Jane Coles, Todd Terje and more, it’s obvious the man certainly knows his music. We couldn’t be more excited to have him close the show with his relentless good vibes.
Any respectable dance floor isn’t complete without the presence of respectable barmen, and that we’ll be having in spades with Low Tide Tiki. Consisting of four uber-fun dudes who’ve dedicated their lives to the art of alcohol, they’ll be bringing their tropically potent cocktails to the party, which go at $15 nett. Those who just wanna crack a cold one can grab a bottle or ten from our exclusive beer partners Chang at $10 each. For those who prefer clinking to cracking can get their hands on some proper pink and bubbly thanks to Analogue Wine Merchant, who’ll be offering rosé at $8 per glass/$35 a bottle and champagne at $10 per glass/$40 a bottle.
Now that the music lineup’s complete with the likes of DJs Amy Dabbs, Dan Stoneman, Orio, and JustMack, we can’t wait to get turnt with all y’all alleycats.
