Catch acrobatic and fire-breathing stunts at an award-winning cabaret show premiering in Singapore next month.
Long-running theatre show La Clique will make its debut at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands on May 29 for two months with eight performances weekly, exactly a year after stage curtains were drawn.
World-renowned cabaret artist Bernie Dieter will be leading the show, a blend of circus, comedy, and cabaret, in a 360-degree venue seating up to 250 guests. Expect a line-up of acts including acrobatic roller-skating, sword swallowing, fire breathing and intense hula hooping from its international daredevil cast.
La Clique started off in the annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival, in 2004, before touring the world performing at smaller-scaled theatres and selling out in cities such as Adelaide, Brighton, Melbourne, Montreal, New York, and Sydney. It won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment, which celebrates commercial British theatre, in 2009.
Tickets are available from S$98 online via Klook, Marina Bay Sands website and Sistic from tomorrow. Show timings are at 8pm on Tuesday to Friday, and 4:30pm and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
