A Genting Cruise vessel has arrived from the Netherlands to begin sailing around Singapore next week.

The World Dream, a Genting cruiseliner operating under its new Dream Cruises line, docked Sunday morning after being isolated for two weeks at Rotterdam, Netherlands. The 335-meter ship, crewed by 187 people, will welcome passengers for tours of the South China Sea and back starting Nov. 6.

Packages for two or three nights start from S$359 (US$264) per person with Broadway entertainment, virtual reality games, and waterpark activities available. The cruise line will make sure all crew members tested negative for the coronavirus before boarding. Thorough cleaning and ship-wide sanitization will also be carried out.

Genting Cruise yesterday posted a video of the ship arriving at the Marina Bay Cruise Center with two boats greeting its arrival with a water cannon salute.

Genting Cruise and Royal Caribbean International announced their return earlier this month after the tourism board sought approval for resuming operations of two- to four-night voyages under a S$145,000 contract awarded to Norway’s DNV GL. The Royal Caribbean will begin in December.
