Aside from being the frontman of one of the world’s biggest bands and the consciously uncoupled former husband to Gwyneth Paltrow, Coldplay’s Chris Martin is really a nice, affable lad.
So nice that he set aside some time to quietly drop by KK Women’s and Children’s hospital last Saturday morning — the day after Coldplay’s first concert on Friday and just before their second one that night. Apparently he brightened the day of both patients and staff with his presence, songs and VIP tickets to the show. Nice job, guv.
Sure it’s nice and all Chris, but don’t you dare think for a second that you’re excused from that collab with douchebag dance duo The Chainsmokers. Sure, both David Bowie and Beyoncé rejected requests to make songs with you, but really, you didn’t have to team up with the Nickelback of EDM.
Overwhelmingly panned by music critics and those with proper working ears, the Coldplay / Chainsmokers collab was nonetheless performed during both nights in Singapore. We suppose all the spectacle at the Singapore Indoor Stadium made up for it.
