Hey beer buffs, in case you missed it, you’re gonna want to round up your friends for a mega beer festival that’s taking over the city this week. That’s right — if you’re looking for a fun event where you can spend a day (or four, we’re not judging!) trying out craft beers from across the world, you’re going to want to buy a ticket ASAP to Brewnanza Fest.

Hosted by Brewlander, Singapore’s leading craft brewery, Brewnanza Fest will give guests the opportunity to try out over 100 unique craft beers from both local and international breweries, some of which aren’t available here or even within the region!

But it’s not just a nonstop beer fest. The good folks at Brewlander know that you’ve got to have something to wash down with the beer, which is why in addition to their expansive drinks line-up, they’re also going to be providing a ton of delicious food options from various celebrated eateries including Fat Belly, Shake Shack, and Kebabs Faktory. There will also be a ton of fun arcade games for you and your pals to show your competitive streaks, and interactive masterclasses where attendees can try their hand at (home)brewing — all of which will be set to live music performances by Mary Sue and Forests that are guaranteed to keep you pumped up throughout the day. The last day is also open to the four-legged furry members of the family so that literally everyone can get involved in the paw-ty!

Brewlander was first set up in 2016 by John Wei (aka the team’s “Yeast Whisperer”), who is a founding member of the Singapore Homebrew Club. Before that, Wei had won multiple awards at the iBREW Challenge from 2013-15, was officially recognized as the Asian representative for the Beer Judge Certificate Program (BJCP) and has since held a regular post as Examination Proctor in BJCP exams. With the help of a small but solid team of fellow beer enthusiasts, Brewlander debuted their first beers in 2017.

Currently, their catalog features three main products. First, there’s the Xtra Pale Ale, their own contemporary spin on a pale ale that uses extra pale malts, and Chinook and Azacca hops that infuse it with stone fruit, mango, and citrus qualities and overall tropical notes. Then, there are their two IPA’s. Their West Coast IPA is their own interpretation of a WCIPA, and has tropical and piney notes with a firm underlying bitterness, thanks to the usage of Idaho 7 and El Dorado Hops. The Love Wild IPA is slightly tart, and involves a combination of mango, passionfruit, and pineapple aromas.

Set against the stunning waterfront at Marina Bay’s Bayfront Event Space, Brewnanza Fest will take place from August 3 to 6 (note: only the last day is pet-friendly), and will start at 6 p.m. on Thursday, 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, with all days wrapping up at 10:30 p.m. Each ticket comes with a complimentary beer redemption on-site. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased individually or as a bundle of four, and will also be sold at the door.

Cheers!
