If you’ve been slowly dying from the intense heat the past few weeks, duck into this unique installation at ION2, the outdoor event place of ION Orchard along Orchard Road.
A hexagonal pergola has been decked out with a lawn, topiaries, flowers and motion-activated plants, as well as sounds of waterfalls, flowing stream water and chirping of birds. It’s ION’s way of welcoming the spring/summer fashion season. Really, all that’s missing are the bubblies.
Visitors — every $80 purchase gives you a pair of admission passes — can enter the Sound Garden from 11am-8pm. On weekends, from 4:30pm-6:30pm, there’s a live show featuring live birds like conures, cockatoos and macaws who will be performing special tricks. Till May 8.
