Singapore’s big day is reeling close and its buildings are joining the party.
Six of Singapore’s historical and cultural landmarks will light up in bright red and white to celebrate the nation’s 57th birthday on Aug. 9.
The lights will go on 7:30pm to midnight Aug. 1-27 at the National Museum of Singapore, Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, Central Fire Station, The Cathay, National Design Centre and the Stamford Arts Centre, which are all around the Bras Basah Bugis precinct.
Organizer National Heritage Board said the landmarks reflect citizens’ “shared heritage” and “national identity.”
