Aspiring filmmakers, professionals and hobbyists are all welcome to this open event, where members of the filmmaking community will get together to meet and mingle. Here, you’ll learn snippets of wisdom about the craft, gain industry insights from experienced filmmakers and hang out with fellow film enthusiasts over refreshments.
Industry veterans who’ll be sharing in the discussion include independent producer and activist Juan Foo; Derrick Liu, whose films have been screened at various festivals; Liao Jiekai, founding member of the collective 13 Little Pictures, and known for his debut feature film Red Dragonflies; and Tzang Merwyn Tong, an award-winning indie director behind films like A Wicked Tale and Faeryville.
