Baybeats Festival 2016 promises the return of big name acts from Singapore and abroad

Our annual huge-ass music festival by Marina Bay starring the best talents Singapore and the region has to offer returns once again.

The biggest #supportlocal music festival, Baybeats, is back again from Jun 24 to 26, weaving through an extensive medley of genres covering metal, punk, electronic, pop, folk, indie rock and everything in between.

All in all, 36 bands will be gracing the Esplanade, starring both veterans and newcomers to the local music scene. Highlights include the return of Singapore’s post-rock titans I Am David Sparkle, indie-pop darlings Lost Weekend, and folk singer-songwriter Nicholas Chim while new faces like offbeat electronic-pop act YLLIS and prog trio T-REX are totally must-watch ones too.

Over in the international side of things, folks can look forward to the likes of Hong Kong’s IDM wonderkid Choi Sai Ho, Japanese “deep rock” outfit Unclose and the anticipated return of seminal Malaysian Oi! quartet A.C.A.B.
