After a highly successful and delightfully teetering trip on the high seas (though permanently anchored next to a jetty), local music curators Bandwagon are back with another series of gigs on Asia’s only Mississippi riverboat.
This time they’re Bandwagon Riverboat-ing harder, extending their highly-popular outing to two nights with a lot more acts from Singapore and the region. Once again, it’ll be three whole decks of live music across a medley of genres from psychedelic rock to deep house; neo-soul to satirical heavy metal. Highlights of the upcoming lineup include (and aren’t limited to) the likes of energetic emo trio Forests, blues man Charlie Lim, and Filipino synth-pop darling BP Valenzuela.

Paying tribute to the riverboat’s past incarnation as an A&W restaurant, Bandwagon’s bringing back savoury nostalgia in the form of coney dogs, cheese burgers, curly fries and root beer floats to the vessel. Accompanying the music will be super-fun carnival sideshows and games such as Giant Jenga, ring tosses and more that should aptly test your sea legs.
Dock yourselves at FRANK Presents: Bandwagon Riverboat this June 10 and 11 — tickets are out on Peatix at $45 per day. Be quick though, tickets are strictly limited considering it’s an actual boat and all. Stay updated on Bandwagon’s Facebook event page.
