Calling all content creators, producers, and directors! The Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) is back for its 21st edition this year, and they wanna hear your ideas. For the uninitiated, ATF is an annual event that offers opportunities for co-production, financing, and content acquisition. Jointly organized with ScreenSingapore, it’s one of the biggest global content markets in Asia and a great opportunity for creatives to bring their ideas to life.
This year, there are four ATF Pitches categories – Animation, Formats, SAFF, and Chinese – and they’ve already begun accepting submissions. Selected finalists will get to pitch their idea to content buyers and seller companies from across the globe. It’s just as well that the Animation Pitch, SAFF Project Market, and ATF Formats pitches are going online this year. This competition welcomes innovative animated concepts big and small, for the little ones. These could involve themes of comedy, adventure, action and fantasy — or you could channel your inner Hayao Miyazaki and include all four.

With a 70-minute runtime prerequisite, this pitch is for big ideas made for the big screen. We’re talking about the SAFF Project Market, where up to 15 projects will be chosen by a panel of international co-producing partners, festival programmers, distributors, commissioners, and financiers. This could just be your big break.

For those trying to enter Chinese-speaking territories
If you’ve been looking for a way to enter the Chinese-speaking market, this is your foot in the door. Reach the world’s most populous entertainment market with the Chinese Pitch, which has two main categories: theatrical/online movie and online drama series. They accept scripts in English too, which would ultimately be translated into Chinese.
