7 regional and local bands to play live in Orchard Central mini-concert this weekend

The country’s foremost champions of local music Bandwagon are back to invade Orchard Central again this weekend, and this time they’re bringing in some talents from around the region to tear the shopping mall a new music-shaped hole.

Their Summertime In The Park concert series — which saw the prominent homegrown likes of Monster Cat and Stopgap playing to a packed Atrium — is heading into its final weekend, and Bandwagon’s pulling out all the stops to bring the festivities at Orchard Central to a close.

This Saturday will see a furious medley of regional acts coming to the mall, where folks will be able to catch Indonesian electronic icons Homogenic, Malaysian synthpop veterans Enterprise, Filipino indie-rock darlings December Avenue as well as Batam’s beatmaking prince Gema.

The local music talents come out to play the next day on July 5, with rock ‘n’ roll bros The Pinholes, soul/funk orchestra The Good Life Project and steadfast post-progressive heroes ANECHOIS gracing the stage.

With the gig set amongst a range of vintage Kombi vans having car boot sales as well as multiple flea market booths, it’s something definitely not to be missed if you’re around town this weekend. Stay updated on the Facebook event page.
