If you’ve ever dreamed of living in the world of 28 Days Later or World War Z, here’s your chance to battle zombies in a real-life apocalypse. For one nightmarish, spine-chilling night in September, the nearby St. John’s Island will be crawling with flesh eating monsters, all of ’em waiting to be vanquished by you (and other fellow survivors).
Organized by Void Deck Games, the fierce fight for survival will weed out the fittest over the course of 13 hours. No kidding, you’ll actually be left stranded on the zombie-infested island for hours — unless you decide you’re done waging war against the walking dead for the day.
To start, head over to the island before the sun sets, so you can begin collecting weapons by completing missions before darkness descends. Basic survivor tickets include a chartered ferry, a meal, overnight lodging (with no aircon, sorry), and weapons like a foam blaster (on loan). If you decide to go for the VIP experience, special characters you can play include The Marauder, The Smuggler, and The Doctor.
