11-year-old New Majestic Hotel to close its doors for good in June

After 11 years of welcoming people into the cosy rooms of its gorgeous conservation shop houses on Bukit Pasoh Road, New Majestic Hotel will close its doors for good in a few months. Part of the Unlisted Collection group, the award-winning boutique hotel is set to give way to new developments come June 1.

Director of Unlisted Collection Loh Lik Peng reminisced, “New Majestic Hotel holds great sentimental value to me. It is one of my first hotel ventures and, in many ways, Unlisted Collection’s flagship hotel. But when a golden opportunity comes up at the perfect time, you have to take it. To grow, you have to be open to change.”

To celebrate its 11-year legacy, the hotel is throwing an appreciation party for all hotel staff and their families, and a Memory Wall will be erected in the lobby for the public to share their memories of the space from Apr 28 to May 20.
