Yuletide with a little German flavour in The Carvery’s Black Forest Christmas Feast this Dec 12

The yuletide season isn’t just a time for mistletoes, candy canes, drunken Christmas carols and withered mall Santas; it’s a time for some righteous stuffing of faces with merry meats and other lush platters. Don’t worry, “Lose Weight” can be one of your New Year’s resolutions.

One of the many places that you can visit to get your Christmas feast fix is none other than Park Hotel Alexandra’s meat-centric joint The Carvery. Known for its indulgent meat buffet spread (that buffet of prime roast beef cuts of theirs was fan-freakin’-tastic), it’ll be no different this yuletide — they’re having a Black Forest Christmas Feast from Dec 12 to Jan 1.

Taking inspiration from produce found in the proverbial Black Forest, The Carvery’s meat carving station will host the likes of crown roast of pork, spit-roasted chicken with tarragon, roast turkey, and a glorious range gourmet sausages. On weekends, treat yo’self to their US black angus beef prime rib.

To take a break from your meatsweats, there’s also buttered brussel sprouts and carrots, forest mushroom flatbread, and German potato pancakes also known as kartoffelpuffer.

Of course, you need your sweet stuff too — baked apples with walnut stuffing and black forest trifle await.

For those too busy/lazy to actually cook, The Carvery is also launching a special offer fit for the Christmas gatherings — their spit-roasted chicken with tarragon to take away. The exceptionally soft and moist chicken (yes, we’ve tried it) comes complete with roasted winter vegetables and gravy so the bird doesn’t have to be so lonely.
