Yardbird, the hip Japanese yakitori restaurant from Hong Kong, is coming to Singapore

Our Japanese yakitori scene is gonna be buzzing with excitement soon, thanks to the imminent arrival of hip Hong Kong resto, Yardbird. (Not to be confused with the other Yardbird Southern Table & Bar opening at Marina Bay Sands this year.)

The popular name is known for menu items such as KFC (Korean fried chicken, or cauliflower, if you’re going vegetarian) and sweet corn tempura, as well as yakitori sticks skewering all parts of the chicken — from standard bits like the thigh, breast and wings to more adventurous parts like the skin, heart and gizzards.

As the restaurant announced on its social media pages, it’s making its way to our shores next month, with a pop-up at Burnt Ends and Meatsmith. Hands up if you can’t wait for yakitori.
