In a collab with chef Yanavit Theerasomboonkun from Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok, Makan @ Jen is bringing Thai food to its kitchen for a couple days this month. Expect more than 40 dishes to make an appearance on the menu, including your favourite Thai dishes such as tom yum soup, Thai green curry and mango sticky rice, as well as live stations preparing plates of phad thai goong (stir-fried rice noodles with prawns), and items like deep fried stuffed crab shells and banana flower salad.

Three different menus will rotate over the nine days, and the buffet spread includes free flow coffee, tea and Thai iced milk tea.
The Thai takeover is from Sept 22-30 at Makan @ Jen, Hotel Jen Orchardgateway. Weekday lunch: Noon-2.30pm from $12.90, Weekday buffet dinner: Sun-Thurs 6.30pm-10pm, $42; Weekend brunch: 12.30pm-3pm, $42; Fri & Sat dinner: 6.30pm-10pm, $65.
