At western food joint The Western Co, the axiom is to let customers eat like a king without having to pay like one. They hold that expression true — by offering the atas likes of bamboo charcoal-coated fish and more at their kopitiam digs along Foch Road.
If you haven’t heard of or paid a visit to their stall, now would be the utmost perfect time to do it. Behold, ye cheese lovers — the offering of ultra-indulgent molten raclette scraped hot and fresh on top of your western dish. Additional grilled cheese? No problem, just cough up $4.
The Western Co. aren’t taking the easy route via cheap-ass cheese wheels. According to them, their raclette cheese is imported only from Switzerland, and can cost up to $270. No bargain-bin substitutes for them — they only want the highest quality (not to mention highly irresistible) for their molten gold.
Meanwhile, here’s another super-satisfying clip of gooey raclette being scraped onto food. Now we’ll just have to wait until someone gets the bright, lucrative idea of offering Parmigiano Reggiano cheese wheel pasta.
