British TV personality, celebrity chef and restaurateur Marco Pierre White is in town for the two-week MasterChef Dining & Bar pop-up, where he’ll be leading a team of four chefs from the TV show, including Luca Manfè from MasterChef US and Reynold Poernomo from MasterChef Australia. But rest assured you’ll be seeing more of him in the near future, because he’s opening a restaurant in Singapore.
White dropped the bomb at the MasterChef press conference yesterday, but then clammed up and refused to divulge further details. According to Channel NewsAsia, the 55-year-old is looking to open his restaurant, which will be named The Old English House, at the Robertson Quay area. Apparently, everything will be brought in from England, and the decor will be inspired by his English background.
