On the menu for this cool Sunday brunch with the kids is nostalgia in the form of your favourite childhood flavours. But with a modern twist, of course. Five special dishes feature here, including Cholula (hot sauce) mac and cheese balls ($8/three), peanut butter and ham noodles ($8), crab cream cheese wontons ($8/five), Not-a-Philly cheesesteak ($16) and a ‘big ass’ cookie $8.
Then indulge in an update of your comfort food of choice with the cookie and boozy milkshake duo ($16) – or keep it alcohol-free with the kids’ version of cookie and milk $10.
Sept 25, 3pm-10pm at Salted and Hung, 12 Purvis St. Dishes range from $8-$16.
Cocotte x Morsels Wine & Sake Dinner
Never thought wine and sake would go together? The chefs from Cocotte and Morsels are here to prove you wrong with their five-course tasting menu that begins with a plate of nashi pear and parsnip sorbet, pickled and fermented mushrooms, and spiced candied walnuts, followed by uni cremeaux with beet and apple tartare, and pulut hitam cracker.
Mains are served up as deep fried and cured tachiuo with kabocha puree and burnt lime, or soba, kabocha hojicha and shaved cured yolk, respectively. Then there’s the ‘salt beef bagel’ of cured tongue, citrus curry and brioche, as well as the ‘mos burger’ made of chuck eye, onigiri hash, tomato relish and kohlrabi misozuke. End things off with a rendition of cheese tofu featuring rosemary charcoal saltine and chilli lime jam.
