This is a treat for tea lovers. At the new takeaway concept outlet of The 1872 Clipper Tea Co, there’s a retail space, a tea bar to serve up your chosen blend, and a selection of tea-infused desserts to complete the entire experience.
Sip on favourites like apple pie, a combination of cold brewed tea with apple slices, cloudy apple juice and cinnamon syrup, or lemongrass-ginger, a blend of cold brewed tea with candied ginger and lemongrass syrup. For something a little unique, order the gula melaka tea latte and savour the milky sweetness. The tea blends here range from classic to fruity to caffeine-free, and prices go for $4.50 to $6.50 per cup.
As for the sweet stuff, they’ve got options like the lemon yuzu eclair, matcha tiramisu, and earl grey truffle. For a hot or cold drink and a pastry, get the high tea set ($12-$14).
If you’d like to bring home a couple tea blends, the brand’s Signature Destinations selection features single-origin tea leaves from 10 countries around the world. Flavours include milk oolong, yunnan silver tips and gyokuro. You can also browse through a myriad of tea ware and accessories in the retail corner.
