Try this: The new 10-course weekend brunch at Long Chim for $60 per person

David Thompson’s street-style Thai restaurant gets even more affordable than it already was (compared to other celebrity chef eateries) with the new weekend brunch menu. At $60++ per person, the 10-course experience includes popular dishes like spicy pork with rice cakes, dried prawns with ginger toasted coconut, and crunchy prawn cakes. Some of our favourites were the zesty grilled long eggplant with dried prawns and steamed egg, and the tilapia with salt crust. Other mains include green curry chicken and oyster sauce pork with broccoli.

You can also choose to toss in charred rice noodles with beef oyster sauce for an additional $18. Vegetarian options can be arranged as well.

But that’s not all. A dessert duo of black sticky rice with pandanus noodles and coconut cake ends things off on a sweet note. Plus, you get to choose from three drink options to wash down the rather spicy dishes — Thai bloody mary of kaffir lime-infused vodka, Mandarin mimosa with sparkling wine and juice, and the ever-so-popular Thai iced tea.

Portion sizes are pretty substantial, so gather the gang for a traditional family-style meal over the weekend.

Weekend brunch is from mid-day to 4pm every Sat and Sun at Long Chim, #02-02 The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Ave. $60++/person.
