Four new cake creations (and one comeback kid) are making their way to the menu at Antoinette. As always, they taste as good as they look — all smooth and fluffy, so you never feel too gelat even after one too many enthusiastic helpings. From light raspberry and yuzu flavours to decadent chocolate concoctions, the selection here will appeal to different types of cake lovers.
Check it out below.
Superlova ($10/slice, $45-$90/whole cake) — A bubblegum-sweet ‘inside out’ cake, this girly creation is a lovely blend of rose petal mousse, rose finger sponge, yuzu cream, lychee and raspberry jelly. Plus, it’s topped with mini rose macarons, rose petal meringues and raspberry marshmallows. Too cute.Charlotte III ($9/slice, $40-$80/whole cake) — The latest update to Antoinette’s Charlotte cake is slathered in forest berries jelly and strawberry mousse, with a top layer of white chocolate vanilla cream. It’s simple but oh-so-delish.Brittany ($9.50/slice, $42.50-$85/whole cake) — This textured cake is divine. Cocoa sponge layers sit nestled between chocolate Chantilly and caramel mousse, with a solid, crunchy base of almond praline feuilletine. We’d definitely recommend Brittany to all chocolate lovers.Terrarium ($20/small, $120/big) — One of the most Insta-worthy options on the menu, this unique, edible terrarium returns to the menu at Antoinette for good reason. Dark chocolate mousse is encased in a clear globe surrounded by passionfruit parfait, caramelised banana flambé, cocoa sponge and smoked almond nougatine. Best of all, everything in the charming little garden is edible, even the ‘butterflies’ and ‘mushrooms’.Marronette ($9/slice, $42.50-$85/whole cake) — This subtle creation stars sweet French chestnuts in a cake infused with dark rum, layered with Chantilly cream and sprinkled with black sugar crumble and a hint of orange confit. So much yum.
