It’s summer, everywhere in Thailand is fully open to both international and domestic flights, and everyone’s Instagram feeds are ready and rolling with photos of food and beaches and food on the beach. That being said, you can only take so many angles of #beersbythebeach or selfies at the same bars until things start to look, well, boring. Enter: the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort, whose five (yes, five) equally stylish dining venues are serving up food that is as exquisite as their views. Nestled in a crescent-shaped bay along Phuket’s exquisite Patong Beach, the resort boasts an assortment of rooms and suites including pool access rooms with private terraces, state-of-the-art amenities within the rooms as well as the expansive fitness center, two outdoor pools, and an array of artworks by local artists that are scattered throughout and gives the whole place a gallery-esque feel.
As for the restaurants, think the juiciest and most tender cuts of meat and seafood that have been marinated and chargrilled to perfection, fizzy signature cocktails to cool you down while you lounge by (or even in) the pool, and stacked burgers and sandwiches that are oozing with flavor.
The range of food ensures that vegans and vegetarians and anyone else with specific dietary needs or preferences will still have a ton of choices no matter where you choose to dine (no sad, boring salads!). The resort’s kid-friendly facilities, including a family suite and kids’ club, also make this a perfect destination for a big family reunion, especially since there are loads of burgers, sandwiches, and snacks that will appease even the fussiest young ones.
As a little amuse-bouche, here are some of our favorite offerings at each of the different venues:
Chao Leh Kitchen

You won’t find a better spot to kick off your day than Chao Leh Kitchen, which boasts what we’d argue is the best breakfast buffet in town with a daily rotating menu. We’re talking fresh organic eggs cooked any way you want, sweet classics like pancakes and french toast, as well as savory options including congee and khao phad. And you have to try their signature crab curry omelet and eggs benedict at least once during your stay (although we’d bet you’ll want to have them more than just once).
Lobby Bar

Feeling peckish, but not in the mood for a full sit-down meal? The hotel lounge’s Lobby Bar is the ideal spot for a quick caffeine boost or an ice-cold beer, including a selection of Phuket’s best brews. And despite the lack of a dining menu, the Lobby Bar’s food selection rivals that of a trendy cafe. The light bites options include perfectly battered-and-fried avocado tempura, and, since we’re at the beach, of course there’s also Chang-beer-battered fish and chips. For something more filling, there’s the signature Four Points burger, as well as the vegetarian tofu burger and creamy spinach wrap.

No beach resort would be complete without a swim-up pool bar, and the one at Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong is ready to serve up pretty much any beverage your heart desires. Check out beers from around the world including the Philippines, Germany, Holland, and Japan, or if you want to drink and support local labels, there’s also a plethora of local ales and craft beers. If you’re tired of the regular wines, whiskeys, and classic cocktails, why not give one (or all!) of the signature cocktails a try? We’re especially intrigued by the Ya-Nud Remedy which features tequila, créme de cassis, basil syrup, and roasted spiced pineapple, and the Cognac Cha Cha with its combination of cognac, apple, ginger liqueur, apple, and some pale ale.
The Deck Beach Club Patong

A beach club overlooking the ocean just minutes away from our hotel room? Yes, please, obviously, thank you! Sip on a mojito or Moscow mule while snapping photos of the unparalleled ocean views. For those not in the mood for alcohol, a miscellany of milkshakes, fragrant fruit smoothies, and various hot and iced coffees and teas are also available.
But don’t let the “Beach Club” in the name fool you — The Deck is also a perfect spot for a beautifully lit sunset dinner. We’d start off with the spicy Thai beef salad or Andaman chili calamari appetizer, followed by the chill & dill sea bass or the succulent Thai grilled pork cheek served with a side of papaya salad and steamed rice. For dessert, nothing beats a mango black sticky rice topped with coconut ice cream.
Sears & Co.

When we say the seafront Sears & Co. has it all, we mean it has it all: indoor and outdoor seating including a breezy, shaded garden, a number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, local comfort foods like choo chee hed grob and grilled chicken that’s been marinated in an assortment of Thai spices as well as trendier dishes like a Thai-style T-Bone steak or the southern Thai-inspired golae chicken flatbread topped with Phuket pineapple and chili coriander. Western choices are, of course, also on the menu: the freshly-made warm pretzels with spicy peanut dip and signature 300g chargrilled tomahawk steak burger are especially speaking to our souls.
